Use the adjustable digital thermostat from 175°F to 425°F, plus a Sear Function, to get the perfect sear on steaks and crisp grill marks on vegetables. The DuoControl heating system lets you set different temperatures for the upper and lower plates, so thick cuts cook evenly from both sides.
Trim excess fat from meats, avoid overcrowding the plates, and use the Smoke-less Mode preset for the food group you are cooking. The new plates improve grease drainage, and the foldout front foot positions the griddler to channel drips away from the heat source.

I've owned the older version without smoke-less and this is a nice upgrade. The smoke-less mode actually cuts down the smoke significantly, though not completely. It heats up fast and evenly. The interchangeable plates make it versatile. I've used it for grilling chicken, vegetables, and sandwiches. The cleanup is pretty easy with the removable plates. It's a bit heavy to store, but worth it.
