Cuisinart CSG-300 Instant Read Folding Thermometer

Works great, accurate.

I’m at an age where tiny numbers are my enemy, but this thermometer has a large, clear display that I can actually see without my glasses. It reads fast and the fold-up probe is convenient for storage in my apron pocket. I use it for roasts, chicken, and even candy making. The temperature holds on the screen after you pull it out, which helps when I’m doing several things at once. I couldn’t be happier.

This thermometer gives a reading in about two seconds. It’s accurate enough for grilling, and the folding probe is a nice touch. I only wish it had a backlight for evening grilling.

I mostly bake, so I bought this to check water temperatures for sourdough and also to temp my bread loaf. It’s super fast and I love that it folds up into a neat little pocket shape. The probe tip is thin enough not to leave a big hole in my dough. I’ve dropped it twice already and it still works perfectly. It’s a very handy little thermometer and the folded size is perfect for my utensil drawer. The screen is bright but the beep is a bit soft. If you have trouble hearing, you might miss it. Overall, it does the job well.
