Meet the Le Creuset Enameled Cast Iron Signature Cassadou, 3.75 qt., Flame — a modern reimagining of a rustic Provençal cookware classic. This enameled cast iron cassadou combines the quick, responsive cooking of a deep sauté pan with the slow, moist heat of a small Dutch oven. Its sturdy side handles make it easy to lift and pour, while the tight-fitting lid traps steam and returns moisture to your food. Ideal for home cooks who want one pan that can sauté, braise, simmer, and even go from stovetop to table.
Le Creuset's enameled cast iron is legendary for its superior heat distribution and retention. No seasoning is needed — the smooth enamel is ready to cook on day one. The light-colored interior lets you monitor browning and sauces as they develop, while the durable exterior enamel resists dulling, staining, chipping, and cracking.
From braised chicken and ratatouille to paella and one-pot pastas, the Cassadou handles high-heat searing and low-and-slow simmering with equal confidence. The wide surface maximizes browning, and the domed lid keeps juices circulating for tender, moist results.
Oven-safe up to 500°F and compatible with all cooktops, including induction. Hand washing is recommended to preserve the vibrant Flame finish. The enameled surface is easy to clean and resists staining, so the pan stays kitchen-beautiful for years.

The Cassadou was inspired by the hearty hunters' stews of Provence — one-pot meals simmered over a fire with whatever the day's catch offered. Le Creuset updated that heritage shape for modern kitchens, giving it a wide base for browning, tall sides for simmering, and an efficient lid for moisture control.
Not too big for everyday meals, not too small for a Sunday braise. The 3.75 qt capacity fits a whole chicken, a batch of soup, or a generous ratatouille. You get browning surface and liquid capacity in balance, so sauces reduce properly and meats stay tender.
Yes, all Le Creuset enameled cast iron cookware is compatible with induction, gas, electric, ceramic, and halogen cooktops.
No. The enameled surface is ready to use immediately and never requires seasoning.
Absolutely. The pan and lid are oven-safe up to 500°F / 260°C with the lid on or off.
It's ideal for braised meats, stews, shallow frying, sautéing vegetables, and one-pan meals for four to six people.

This cassadou is amazing; it replaced three pans. Braises, sautés, even bakes. Le Creuset quality shines.
Beautiful flame color. Works well but it's heavy.
I was skeptical about the price but this thing is a workhorse. It sears a steak like cast iron, simmers a sauce gently, and goes from stovetop to oven without complaint. Cleanup is surprisingly easy for enameled cast iron—just warm water and a soft sponge. I've made curries, fried chicken, and even a small loaf of bread in it. The flame color brightens my whole kitchen too. Worth every penny if you cook a lot.
This baby is thick and tough. Handles everything I throw at it. Love the deep sides.
You're not supposed to put this in the dishwasher but I knew that before buying. It's a splurge and it feels like one. Cooking with it is a joy.
The heat distribution is superb once it's preheated properly. If you rush, food sticks a bit because the enamel needs time. Once you learn that, it's excellent. My only complaint is the price and the weight.
I have owned many pots and pans over fifty years of cooking. This is among the finest. The enamel is flawless, the heat is even, and the size is just right for my wife and me. It cleans up easily, which I appreciate more than I used to. I expect this will last longer than I do.
Lovely to look at and it cooks well. However I cannot lift it with one hand when full.
Obsessed. Use it daily.
This replaced my two most-used pans. I've braised lamb shanks, deep-fried samosas, and made frittatas. It's heavy but the heat retention is worth it. Also, the flame color is iconic.
