Ordinary nonstick coatings scrape and wear over time. SteelShield™ flips the design: instead of coating the entire surface with a fragile layer, it adds steel peaks that sit above the nonstick valleys. Food touches the nonstick, but metal tools tap the steel. The result is a nonstick pan that actually lasts through daily cooking, from seared chicken to simmered sauces.
The pan's aluminum core is sandwiched between stainless steel layers, giving you the fast heating of aluminum with the durability and easy browning of stainless steel.
