The dual controls let you heat each side to a different temperature when using half/half mode.

This Griddler replaced my old George Foreman and it's a huge upgrade. The interchangeable plates let me grill a steak or cook pancakes on the same machine. The dual temperature controls mean I can cook two things at different heats. It heats up fast and evenly. The floating hinge handles thick cuts like bone-in chicken. Cleanup takes a few minutes since the plates are nonstick and dishwasher-safe. I use it at least three times a week.
