A 6-quart Cuisinart Contour stainless saucepot with an aluminum-encapsulated base for fast, even heating and a tempered glass lid that locks in moisture.
Categories : Cookware
SKU : PER-COO-273
The Cuisinart Contour Stainless 6-Quart Saucepot is a versatile workhorse for soups, stews, pasta, and sauces. Its aluminum-encapsulated base delivers fast, even heating across the entire pan, eliminating hot spots that cause scorching. Crafted with a premium stainless steel cooking surface, it won’t react with acidic ingredients like tomatoes or wine, so your food keeps its true flavor.
The pot features an aluminum disc bonded to a stainless interior and exterior. This construction draws heat up from your stove and spreads it evenly. The result is better temperature control, fewer hot spots, and reliable boiling for pasta or simmering for sauce.
This stainless steel saucepot is compatible with all cooktops, including induction, gas, electric, and ceramic. It’s also oven-safe up to 500°F without the lid; with the tempered glass lid, it’s safe to 350°F. That makes it easy to start on the stove and finish in the oven.
A 6-quart capacity is ideal for family-sized soups, chili, large batches of pasta, or canning vegetables. It’s bigger than a standard 4-quart pot but still easy to handle and store. The covered pot is deep enough for stews and braises, and the tempered glass lid lets you monitor moisture without losing heat.

This saucepot is designed for consistent performance. The aluminum-encapsulated base spreads heat across the full cooking surface, so pasta boils evenly, soups come to a steady simmer, and sauces don’t scorch on the bottom.
A 6-quart pot is a great sweet spot: it holds enough for family meals but isn’t too heavy for everyday handling. Use it for stews, chili, corn on the cob, or stocking up on homemade broth. Smaller pots are fine for side dishes, but this larger size gives you room to cook in quantity.
The cool-grip handles stay cooler on the stovetop, and the stainless exterior cleans up easily. While this pot is dishwasher-safe, hand washing keeps the mirror finish looking sharp for years.
Yes. The stainless steel exterior with aluminum-encapsulated base is compatible with induction cooktops, as well as gas, electric, ceramic, and halogen.
The pot is oven-safe to 500°F without the lid. When the tempered glass lid is on, reduce the oven temperature to 350°F to protect the glass.
Absolutely. The stainless steel cooking surface won’t react with acidic ingredients, so tomato sauces, wine-based dishes, and vinegar reductions keep their natural flavor without discoloration.
Fill the pot with warm water and a little dish soap, let it sit for a few hours, then gently scrub with a non-abrasive pad. A stainless steel cleaner can help restore the finish.
Yes, the lid is made of durable tempered glass and is designed to handle stovetop splatter and moderate oven heat. Always handle it gently and avoid thermal shocks like placing a hot lid in cold water.

I've been making soups and stews in this pot and it heats evenly without hot spots. The glass lid is heavy and seals well. The handles stay cool on the stove. It's a sturdy pot that will last.
Solid pot.
This saucepot is excellent. The aluminum base distributes heat perfectly. I can boil pasta and make a roux with no scorching. The lid fits snugly, and the handles are comfortable. It's easy to clean, though I usually hand wash. After six months, it still looks new.
Professional quality.
It's quite heavy for me to lift when full. But it cooks well.
Excellent saucepot.
Does the job.
I dropped the lid and it shattered. The pot itself is fine, but replacement lids are expensive.
